This team owns the technology vision around the Reality Index, deep experience in building real-time Big Data Analytics platforms, and recognize and leverage the intrinsic value of emerging and existing technologies. As such, this focuses on defining the Technical and Research agendas, including developing and deploying a leading edge Vision and Roadmap for the future product and services offerings of the company from a technology perspective.
This team is a mix of hard core data scientists, system and platform architects, researchers, principal engineers, analysts and BI geeks. Their mission spans all platforms across Automotive, Highly Autonomous Driving (HAD) and Internet-of-Things (IoT) in combination with new and emerging technology fields like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Deep Neural Networks, closed-loop Machine Learning and Geo-positioning to name just a few.
As Senior Product Manager, you will be part of a small, but growing team within the R&D group. In this role you will be crafting and articulating the company's technology strategy and technology roadmap. Ensuring product is pushing thought leadership and driving technology agenda both internally and externally as well as product managing internally disruptive technology initiatives.
**Define the long-term vision and plan for the evolution of a Location Based product - an index of the physical world that includes people, places, and things organized by location and time); develop and validate target developer use cases; gather and document underlying market and functional requirements.
**Manage the alignment and balance between the near-term roadmap for product as driven by the Platform team and the long-term (3+ year) vision of the Product as owned and defined by this role.
**Identify and prioritize target vertical markets to support; lead the development and validation of business models for the prioritized markets.
**Drive the development of prototypes with engineering resources and potential 3rd party partners.
** Work closely with Data Strategy team to identify and source required seed data sets.
** Communication: Excellent communicator with outstanding verbal, written, and visual skills; able to influence all layers of the organization. Able to craft and articulate a vision and build consensus around it.
** Record of success: Demonstrable track record of successful software, SaaS, web, and mobile products. Experience with databases, big data, or developer communities is a definite plus.
** Data Analysis: Able to use data to assess and independently establish targets and direction in matters of high complexity for team or functional group.
**Financial Modeling: Able to independently develop and apply financial modeling to highly complex situations to forecast and set strategy for team or functional group.
Understands Business Drivers, Context and Key Issues: Has a deep holistic understanding of business drivers, sees actions within the context of Business Unit or
