Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Systems Engineer to support our creative and technical teams. We require someone who shares our passion and technical curiosity. This role will report to our Director of Systems.

Job Responsibilities

The Systems Engineer will be the primary engineer responsible for production engineering on products, events and research initiatives within their assigned realm of influence. This position will work across a wide range of teams to provide technical design and implementation based on pre-designed creative experiences. They will be the technical lead on matters such as datacenter design, network infrastructure design, information systems architecture (all forms of compute), software deployment and materials interaction. This individual will interact on either a small team or independently, and thus will need to have a strong grasp of technical project management.


The Systems Engineer will be the lead information systems architect and implementer in their areas of responsibility. Areas of responsibility include:

Datacenter builds.
Information systems architecture builds.
Network architecture builds.
Broadcast control builds.
DevOps tooling and builds.
Large scale high voltage.

In collaboration with project managers and software developers, the Systems Engineer will plan and implement the entirety of information systems architecture. This includes:

Technical project design.
Budget and cost analysis.
Resource forecasting.

This position will support creative functions of the business by designing technical systems which drive the vision of the project.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/relevant degree or a minimum of 4 years acting as a Systems Engineer with relevant similar duties.

Strong technical analytical, interpersonal, influencing skills and written and verbal skills required.
Strong competency in designing information systems architectures from software development, hardware design and integration.

Distributed servers.
GlusterFS, Apache Spark, IoT, etc
Microservices and virtualization platforms.
Docker, QEMU, VMWare, etc.
Software development methodologies.
SCRUM, Kanban, Agile, etc
Software development.
Python, Javascript, C#, GIT, etc
Network infrastructure.
Junos, Mellanox, Cisco, etc
Display technologies.
LCD, LED, Projection, etc
Audio systems.
Dante, RSTP, etc
Broadcast and show control systems.
Time sequencing, framelock, etc
Datacenter design.
Cooling standards, Open compute project, etc.
High voltage systems.
Power distribution, load calculations, etc

Empathetic working philosophy with an attunement to the needs of the individuals across the organization.
A strong desire to document and build incredible engineering user experience for future teams working on projects.
Familiarity with production and or creative studio environments is a plus.
Self-starter attitude is critical as this position interacts with all levels of the organizational user base.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree and/or 4-6+ years of systems infrastructure engineering.
