The Pokémon Company International is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer that is passionate about providing amazing experiences for our users and wants to be part of a growing team that is in the thick of the development, testing, deployment, and operating of highly utilized online services. This role within the DevOps team needs an experienced and talented individual with a diverse set of skills and abilities to work in a key role that is primarily focused on operationalizing and evolving our platform to ensure we are highly performant, available, secure, scaled, and operationalized. Though the primary focus of this role is on improving & operationalizing our platform, this role with also be involved in & contributing towards prototyping solutions, continuous delivery, scripting & automation, monitoring design & implementation, and partnering with the Development, Test, and Security teams to put in place the right solutions for the business.
Build infrastructure to support AWS-based Cloud services and infrastructure.
Manage all infrastructure and configuration as well as ensuring systems & services are leveraging best practices & standards.
Partner with development teams to help engineer scalable, reliable, and resilient online services.
Enhance monitoring of systems, services and hardware to enable expedient identify of issues.
Manage and support our continuous delivery platform utilized by various product & development teams.
Work with developers and engineering leads to advocate for operational improvements in our software stack.
Display high levels of performance and good decision making while working with minimal supervision within a defined set of priorities and goals.
Develop & update system documentation to ensure high levels of supportability for Production.
Support of our development, test, and production environments via investigation & resolution of performance and functional issues with our service stack as well as upstream/downstream systems.
Participate in Scrum methodology along with the rest of the DevOps & Studio teams.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
4+ years DevOps / Network Engineering / Application Engineering / Systems Engineering experience, preferably at a game studio.
3+ years' practical scripting and/or development experience
Experience working in a Linux environment and utilizing infrastructure in Amazon Web Services.
Self-motivated, able to work independently, and enjoys collaborating across teams to make us all successful.
Understand and troubleshoot networking problems, configuration, and application workflow changes.
Familiar with continuous delivery pipeline tools such as Perforce, Bitbucket, Ansible, Cloudformation, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
Experience with monitoring, metrics, and logging tools is a big plus, such as Telegraf, Grafana, or New Relic.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, agile driven environment.
Experience in the video game or trading card industry is a plus.
BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and/or equivalent working experience.
DevOps/Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix/Linux/AWS a plus.
