Job Description

Supports the Tanium solution service delivery to the various departments of the organization. Actively monitors service performance to SLOs/SLAs where applicable. Resolves complex service problems that may arise, conducts routine analysis, identifies and characterizes incidents, effectively troubleshoots incidents to complete resolution.

Administers, manages and maintains the Tanium server including modules. Works collaboratively with the server maintenance group to proactively and reactively ensure the availability, integrity, confidentiality and reliability of the system. Responds promptly to customer needs; takes a customer-centric approach to problem solving; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments; manages difficult or emotional customer situations.

Identifies opportunities for use of solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Leads initiatives to develop solutions and processes to meet customer needs; identifies unique innovative approaches. Prioritizes and plans work activities; sets goals and objectives; uses time efficiently; communicates activities and results as appropriate. Works with minimal guidance; regularly participates in reviews of assigned and completed tasks.

Job Responsibilities

Supports the Tanium solution service delivery to various departments of the organization. Conducting daily health-checks on assigned accounts. Documents enterprise Tanium processes and procedures and implements best practices. Participates in the Tanium Oversight committee.

45% with various departments as needed for tool integration with Tanium. Participate in the local Change Control Board. Perform after action and root cause reporting as necessary. ​Coordinate with operational teams to minimize gaps in Tanium data reporting to SIEM.​

35% Standard endpoint configuration duties including but not limited to: patch management, deploy ad hoc software, registry keys, GPO in response to identified vulnerabilities, deployment of enterprise software including Microsoft, third-party and in-house applications targeting desktops, servers, mobile Apple and Android.

15% Cross train organization Tanium and SCCM Administrators as Tanium backup and act as backup to same.


Considerable working knowledge of various infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise.

Experience with administration and operations of production systems in a large scale environment. Experience with agile implementation frameworks preferred.

System administration experience with non-cloud and cloud-based solutions preferred Networking (e.g. DNS, load balancing)

Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM)

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree plus 5 more years of experience in system administration (or equivalent experience)
