Position expected to last 2-3 years but can only guarantee end of fiscal year.
Work model is largely remote although onsite presence may be required at times, non local resources are allowed under the expectation that they will be relocating to the Phoenix area upon hire.
Data Governance Analyst
Help drive the development and publication of policies and processes for data management, quality, usage, reporting, security, and governance.
Work closely with business stakeholders to champion data governance enterprise wide.
Someone who can execute processes and maintenance of various MDM elements to ensure accurate data creation, transformation, and retention.
Responsibilities
Drive the development and publication of policies and processes for data management, quality, usage, reporting, security, and governance.
Assists in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements with other functional data owners to ensure functional master data integrity across systems is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements.
Develop and deliver educational materials for cross functional business users.
Ability to understand and translate the needs of business units into effective data management solutions.
Develop and manage Data Dictionary and Data Lineage.
Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
Build and maintain a comprehensive data standards and definitions library.
Drive continuous assessments for areas of improvement, opportunities for growth, and identification of gaps.
Support the development and maintenance of an end-to-end data lifecycle management methodology.
Run metrics to measure success and prepare regular summaries for governance steering reporting.
Build and maintain the audit program with data remediation plans where data fails to meet required standards.
Performing audits and data validation against master data definitions and standards.
Execute master data-related projects and initiatives.
Perform ad-hoc data analysis.
Skills
Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques
Understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques
Knowledge of Transact SQL, MS SQL SSIS, SSRS, SSAS - data query/reporting tool
Operational familiarity in the use of metadata management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms.
Ability to produce detailed, relevant documentation, and reports as required.
Experience with data visualization tools - Tableau, Power BI, etc.
